Struggling financially, Daisy finds a job in a canning factory where she notices that her boss Marlene, radiant and heave-set, grants special privileges to a group of equally chubby factory workers. Soon Daisy learns that the women are part of a “secret society” of sumo wrestlers who are gaining strength and and self-confidence by learning how to love and use their large bodies. When Daisy’s husband discovers his wife has joined the group, Daisy must make a difficult decision between the life she has always known and the possibility of achieving something extraordinary.
